We are happy to announce that Dr. Vidya Venkataramanan will be joining us a post-doctoral fellow through the Center for Water Research and Department of Anthropology at Northwestern University. Fresh from her PhD at UNC, she will be working with Drs. Sera Young and Aaron Packman to apply her extensive WASH background to issues of urban flooding in the local Chicago area. Specifically, she will analyze community perceptions and impacts of “green” stormwater management interventions to prevent urban flooding in the South Side of Chicago, as well as household water insecurity experiences worldwide.
